PM emphasizes that university education should be practical

Kathmandu, December 20

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has emphasized that the education of the university should be not only formal and theoretical but also practical, vital and helpful in the development and transformation of the society. Addressing the 47th Convocation of Tribhuvan University on Monday, Prime Minister Deuba said that creative, changeable and age-appropriate scientific and technical manpower should be produced to strengthen the country’s democratic system and transform the country’s economy.

In this regard, the university needs to move ahead with age-appropriate educational and
managerial reforms in today’s competitive global educational market. Prime Minister Deuba has said. Prime Minister Deuba said that the education of the country should be for the life of the individual, for the betterment of the nation and for the positive change of the society as a whole.

Prime Minister Deuba said that in some developed countries, not only basic education has been made free but also university level education has been made accessible to all. He said that the government was trying to break the norm of higher education, saying that only
those with limited financial status could get it. “In our case too, the government recognizes that only a limited number of people and individuals with economic status should have access to higher education, “said the Prime Minister. It is our national responsibility today to create the environment we can. ”
