Nepal receives 4.1 million doses of the Moderna and J&J Covid-19 vaccines from Germany.

On Thursday, Germany sent over 4.1 million doses of Moderna and J&J Covid-19 vaccinations to Nepal via the Covax facility.

Germany handed over 1.965 million doses of Moderna and 2.176 million doses of J&J Covid-19 vaccinations today, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

According to the ministry’s spokesman, Dr Sangita Kaushal Mishra, the immunizations would be provided to teenagers aged 12 to 18.

According to her, a new vaccination program aimed at the age range will begin on Sunday.

Meanwhile, according to the ministry, 38.2 percent of the country's overall population has received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, with 31% of those obtaining full doses.

However, among the targeted population, the ratio of those who received the first dosage is 58.2%, while the ratio of those who received all doses is 47.2 percent.
