Kathmandu: Vijay Kumar Gachchhadar has urged for re-polling after he was defeated by a narrow margin in the by poll of the Nepali Congress.
After losing by two votes as per the public opinion results on Wednesday night, Gachchhadar of the establishment group has submitted a petition to the Election Committee demanding recount.
Dhanraj Gurung of the Shekhar Koirala panel won with 1908 votes while Gachchhadar got 1906 votes. Purna Bahadur Khadka of the establishment party has already won the post of the next deputy chairman.
