The United States is waiting for the Government of Nepal to approve the MCC-
Nepal Compact in Parliament in near future.
The MCC-Nepal Compact was discussed at the board meeting of the Millennium
Challenge Corporation (MCC) on Wednesday. Stating that the Government of
Nepal has committed to approve the MCC-Nepal Compact from the Parliament in
the near future, it has been decided to wait for it in the Board of Directors.
According to the US Embassy in Kathmandu, discussions were held on the status
of the implementation of the $500 million MCC-Nepal Compact during the agenda
of the quarterly meeting of the MCC Board.
