Question by Bhim Rawal: Isn’t obstruction of Parliament a game to pass MCC?

Kathmandu, December 16

CPN-UML leader Bhim Rawal has questioned the justification of his party’s obstruction in the parliament. He also questioned whether it was a game to ratify
the MCC agreement.

On social media, Rawal wrote: What is the justification for blocking the sittings of
the parliament by allowing the government to function? Isn’t this a game of
approving the agreement made with MCC in the midst of commotion without
giving anyone a chance to speak? If this is done, it will be considered as treason.

CPN-UML has been protesting in the parliament meeting questioning the working
style of the speaker. UML had not participated in any of the parliamentary
proceedings of the annual convention in protest.

The UML had cordoned off the first meeting of the winter session which started
on last Mangsir 28. Due to the UML's protest, the sitting of the parliament has
been postponed till Paush 6.
