Leaders of the Ram Chandra Poudel faction of the Nepali Congress have put pressure on the top leaders to select a common candidate.
Senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel had a discussion with district chairpersons and former chairpersons on Wednesday, where the leaders said they should select a common candidate. “Everyone’s opinion is that a common candidate should be decided,” said central member Badri Pandey.
According to him, a discussion will be held between the aspirants for the chairmanship and the central members at the residence of leader Prakash Man Shrestha at 3 pm.
