Closed session of the 10th National General Convention of UML begins

The closed session of the 10th National General Convention of the CPN-UML is starting.

A closed session has been starting at the Seven Star Hotel in Sauraha, Chitwan for some time now. In the closed session the decision of the UML Central Committee to increase the number of Central Committee including office bearers will be submitted for approval. Delegates from different countries will wish good luck in the closed session.

UML has registered its candidature today and has fixed the election program for voting from tomorrow morning.

The last meeting of the Central Committee held at Sauraha on Friday night had increased the number of Central Committees from 225 to 301. It has also decided to set up a 99-member politburo, with seven vice-chairmen and three deputy general secretaries in the Central Committee.
