Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that there is a good potential for boxing in Nepal. In a meeting with International Boxing Federation President Umar Kremlev on Wednesday evening, Prime Minister Deuba expressed his commitment to provide all possible assistance from the government for the promotion as it is a potential sport.
According to Pushpa Raj Pant, central member of the Nepal Boxing Association, a six-member team including the president of the federation Umar has come to Nepal at the invitation of the association.
During the meeting, Federation President Umar said that Nepali boxers have the ability to perform strong and excellent sports and expressed his commitment to support the sport and the players as much as possible. Umar’s team will stay in Nepal for three days.
