Representatives have been selected in Bhaktapur for the 10th National General Convention of the CPN-UML to be held in Chitwan from Mangsir 10 to 12. Candidates who wanted to go to the delegates on Thursday the 25th had registered their candidates. Despite the efforts of the UML central and district level leaders to reconcile, only half of them have succeed.
UML Bhaktapur has informed that the General Convention delegates have been selected from the voting process in 1 constituency in Bhaktapur which has 2 constituencies. On the basis of organized members, 4 open and 2 women general convention delegates were elected from the constituency on Saturday.
From constituency No. 1 Shambhu Prasad Dhakal, Parasar Sapkota, Niranjan Bajgain, Milan Suwal, Narayani Phuyal and Beena Bastola have emerged victorious. Rajendra Rajthala, Shashi Jung Thapa and Madan Sundar Shrestha have been elected as representatives from constituency No. 2.
Similarly, Uttara Nepal, Bhagirathi Sitaula and Tara Khadka Basnet are among the women representatives. UML has informed that district committee member Deepak Bishankhe has been selected from the inclusive side.
