Chief Minister of Bagmati Pradesh Rajendra Prasad Pandey has expanded the existing cabinet today to include two members of the coalition in the provincial assembly.
On the recommendation of Chief Minister Pandey, state chief Yadav Chandra Sharma has appointed CPN (Maoist Centre) parliamentary leader Shalikram Jamkattel (Dhading) and Congress parliamentary party secretary Nima Lama (Sindhupalchok) as ministers. Jamkattel has been appointed Minister of Economic Affairs and Planning and Lama Minister of Health. Bagmati Chief Sharma administered the oath of office to the newly appointed minister today.
The four-member cabinet headed by Chief Minister Pandey was expanded on Kartik 11. Earlier, Chief Minister Pandey had held four ministries including Health, Economic Affairs and Planning, Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives and Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment.
Similarly, Kumari Moktan was the Minister of Social Development, Krishna Lal Bhandel was the Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Development and krishna Prasad Khanal was the Minister of Internal Affairs and Law. Pandey was appointed to the post after the then Chief Minister Ashtalaxmi Shakya resigned from the post on Kartik 10.
