Police intervention in protests protesting against legal practitioners

Police have intervened in the ongoing protests by legal practitioners demanding the resignation of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JBR. Police intervene in the Supreme Court premises. After the police intervention, legal practitioners in the Supreme Court premises have chanted slogans against the Chief Justice.

Additional teams of the Armed Police Force (APF) have also been deployed in the Supreme Court premises saying that the protest may increase further. An addition has been going on for two weeks led by the Nepal Bar Association demanding the resignation of the Chief Justice. Similarly, Supreme Court justices have been boycotting the session. Due to which the hearing of the case in the Supreme Court has been affected.
