China’s national supervisory commission was officially inaugurated with a ceremony Friday.
The newly appointed deputy directors and members of the commission took an oath of allegiance to the Constitution at the ceremony.
Zhao Leji, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), attended the ceremony.
At a meeting attended by the CCDI and national supervisory commission officials, Zhao called on the officials to faithfully perform their duties as stipulated in the CPC Constitution, China’s Constitution and the Supervision Law to secure a sweeping victory in the fight against corruption.
