The General Convention will send a message of return to power: Yogesh Bhattarai

CPN (UML) Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai has said that the party’s upcoming 10th National General Convention will send a message of re-election to power with popular opinion.

Speaking at a discussion program organized by the Central Publicity Department today, Bhattarai said that up to 500,000 people would be present at the inauguration of the convention and the message of the convention would be spread in the country and abroad. He said, “Let’s not talk about contradictions within the party now. The party needs to be united and effective.”.

He informed that the documents for the general convention are being prepared for publication and the central, district, local and people’s organizations have started the work of selecting representatives and campaigning.

UML is organizing a press conference on Wednesday to inform about the preparations for the general convention to be held in Chitwan from Mangsir 10 to 12. Only on Tuesday, party president KP Sharma Oli observed the Narayani shore at the convention site. As the UML has already concluded its legislative general convention last Asoj, the tenth general convention will elect a new leadership.
