Government urges not to crowd during festivals

An informal meeting of the Central Security Committee (CSC) has decided to systematically implement the health and safety measures at risk from the risk of Covid-19 as the crowds may increase during the festive season.

A meeting chaired by Home Minister Bal krishna Khand at the Home Ministry at Singha Durbar on Monday discussed the issue of urging all concerned ministries and agencies to follow the standards with more vigilance, said Ministry Spokesperson Phanindra Mani Niraula. He said that lessons should be learned from the past experience of increasing Covid due to negligence, adding that no injunction or order should be issued now.

The meeting was attended by Minister for Defense Dr Manindra Rijal, Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Narayan Khadka, Minister for Health and Population Birodh Khatiwada, Minister for General Administration and Federal Affairs Rajendra Shrestha, secretaries of various ministers and heads of security agencies.
