RPP convention held in 54 districts

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has held conventions in 54 districts in connection with the upcoming general convention. The party election committee has stated that it will convene again in Rolpa, Jumla, Sankhuwasabha, Ramechhap and Dolpa districts after a dispute arose during the district conventions to be held in Kathmandu from Kartik 27 to 30.

Central member Sundar Pandey informed that for the first time, the delegates are being selected on the basis of active members. The remaining 23 districts are scheduled to hold the convention by Kartik 14. RPP has stated that suggestions have come from various districts to hold the general convention only after the local level election. If the work cannot be done as per the agenda within the stipulated time, the convention can be postponed with the coordination and understanding of the Election Committee and the Chairmanship.
