CPN-UML Standing Committee meeting has started. The meeting has started at the Tulsilal Memorial Foundation at Chasal in Lalitpur. The meeting will discuss the review of the Legislative General Convention, the Ward Convention to be held on Kartik 6, the Palika Convention to be held on Kartik 9, the National General Convention and the loss of life and property due to the recent incessant rains.
Leaders have said that the meeting will decide the venue of the 10th National General Convention of the CPN-UML. According to them, the meeting is likely to accept the proposal as the National General Convention will be held in Chitwan.
Earlier, during the closing ceremony of the Legislative General Convention, Chairman KP Sharma Oli had announced to hold the National Convention in Butwal unless there was a decision otherwise. The UML general convention is scheduled for Mangsir 10 to 12.
