The United States has said it will not participate in talks on Afghanistan this week. Russia plans to hold talks on Afghanistan this week. But the Afghan Foreign Ministry said in a statement that it would not participate in the talks.
US State Department spokesman Ned Price said: “For some technical reason, we cannot participate in the talks organized by Russia.” But he did not say what the technical reasons were. Russia’s foreign minister has said that Russia plans to hold talks on Afghanistan this week and that the United States has been invited.
