Meeting between Deuba and Modi in Scotland

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are scheduled to meet in the UK. Deuba is making his first visit to the UK since being appointed Prime Minister. Sources said that he will have a separate meeting with his Indian counterpart there.

Prime Minister Deuba is on his way to attend the World Leaders Summit on Climate Change to be held is Glasgow, Scotland, Great Britain on Kartik 15-16. Deuba’s first visit to the UK has sparked controversy. Earlier the Prime Ministers of Nepal paid their first visit to India after being appointed.

According to an official at the Indian Embassy in Nepal, a meeting is being scheduled with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to a source, Delhi is positive about Prime Minister Deuba’s after to meet Modi in Scotland and is preparing for it.

Earlier, a team led by Congress Joint General Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat had visited India at the invitation of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Sources claim that Prime Minister Deuba’s visit to India was discussed during the visit of the team but did not show much interest. Even Indian Prime Minister Modi has not sent an invitation to Prime Minister Deuba to visit India.
