Umesh Shrestha started work in the Prime Minister’s Office

Minister of State Umesh Shrestha, who is in charge of the Prime Minister’s Office and the Office of the Council of Ministers, assumed office on Sunday. In a brief program organized after taking office, Minister of State Shrestha said that he would be active in advancing various reforms related to monitoring and evaluation, inter-agency coordination and facilitation to be carried out by the Prime Minister’s Office more effectively.

Chief Secretary Shankar Das Bairagi, secretaries of bodies under the Prime Minister’s Office and Chief Director of the National Investigation Department were present at the inauguration ceremony. Former Minister of State for Health, he has been transferred to the Prime Minister’s Office after the last expansion of the Council of Ministers by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
