Review of MCC approval efforts in Nepal at Board Meeting

The latest status of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) agreement in Nepal has been reviewed at the MCC board meeting. The meeting held at the MCC headquarters in Washington DC discussed the efforts made by the Parliament of Nepal for the approval of the MCC.

The board meeting, chaired by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken was briefed by a high-level MCC delegation on a visit to Nepal earlier this month to advance MCC ratification.

On September 9, MCC Vice President Fatema Sumar visited Nepal. While in Nepal, she met top leaders of political parties and urged them to approve the MCC as soon as possible.

The MCC board meeting also discussed projects being implemented in various other countries.
