At least 12 people have been killed in a shipwreck in China’s Guizhou province. Another 3,000 people are missing in accident on the Zangke River, according to government officials.
It is estimated that the ship may have capsized due to the heavy load. There were a total of 40 passengers on ship at the time of accident. Others were rescued after the incident but those still missing are still being searched.
More than 59 rescuer ships, including 214 rescuers, have been mobilized for the search.
