The Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) has selected the office bearers. A meeting of the first central committee chaired by party president Madhav Kumar Nepal has selected seven vice-presidents, one general secretary, three deputy general secretaries and four secretaies. Jhala Nath Khanal has been selected as the senior leader and Mukunda Neupane as the third priority of the Party.
Rajendra Pandey, Pramesh Hamal, Ghanendra Basnet, Kedar Neupane, Keshav Lal Shrestha, Dharmanath Prasad Shah and Jayanti Rai have been elected as vice-presidents. Dr. Beduram Bhusal was elected as the General Secretary, Prakash Jwala, Dr. Gangalal Tuladhar and Dr. Bijaya Poudel as the Deputy General Secretaries and Nagendra Prasad Chaudhary, Jagannath Khatiwada, Rajendra Kumar Rai and Ram Kumari Jhakri as Secretaries.
A 35-member Standing Committee, a 71-member Politburo and a 301-member Central Committee (fully and alternately) have been constituted.
