Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal held a discussion today. It is stated that the expansion of the Council of Ministers was discussed during the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar.
The meeting of the top three leaders was held, said Bishnu Sapkota, press coordinator of CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’. Earlier, the top three leaders of the ruling coalition had been saying that the expansion of the Council of Ministers would be completed as soon as the legal process including party registration of the CPN (Unified Socialist) and Janata Samajwadi party was completed.
The CPN (Unified Socialist) led by Madhav Kumar Nepal has already received the party’s official status from the Election Commission. Similarly, the Democratic Socialist Party led by Mahantha Thakur, which is divided from the Janata Samajwadi Party, has also gained party legitimacy. At the same time, Prime Minister Deuba is engaged in discussions with the leaders of the coalition parties to complete the expansion of the Council of Ministers.
