Technical work has started for the construction of Nepal-China friendly industrial park, which was laid by the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in his hometown Damak on Falgun 16. The Chinese team has already started field and soil testing. The park will be built by China’s Lhasa Economic and Technology Development Zone Jingping Joint Construction. The Investment Board has already approved a budget of around Rs 65 billion, according to a New Magazine Online.
The government estimates that the 21-bigha industrial park will change the face of the country. Chairman of the Industrial Area Management Limited Nanda Kishor Basnet informed that the Chinese team has started work for the construction of the industrial park.
The government has mentioned in the budget of the Fiscal Year 2078/79 that the construction of the industrial park will be completed within two years. “The Chinese team has now returned to Kathmandu after working on the soil test, where to put the wall, etc. as per the master plan. He is working from Kathmandu. After the investment board approves the project development agreement, we will start working in the field,” he said. The government claims that the Chinese team has started work.
