Meeting of Lumbini Provincial Assembly postponed

The meeting of Lumbini Provincial Assembly has been postponed. The Provincial Assembly Secretariat has posted a notice today stating that the meeting convened in the afternoon has been postponed. The meeting of the third day of ninth session has also been postponed as the lawmakers of the main opposition party CPN-UML have obstructed the House demanding the removal of two lawmakers who were sacked by the party. The next meeting will be held on Bhadra 7 at 1 pm.

The party’s central committee has informed the state secretariat through the state parliamentary party that the party has taken against MPs Ajay Bahadur Shahi and Bimala Oli for supporting the government led by Kul Prasad KC. UML has been demanding that the letter be read out in the state assembly and that MPs Shahi and Oli be relieved of their posts.
