The 70th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Tibet was celebrated in Lhasa

This year marks the 70th anniversary of Tibet’s peaceful liberation. On this occasion, a grand ceremony has been organized at Potala Durbar Chowk in Lhasa today at 10 am.

For seventy years, the central government has been investing in Tibet from various sectors, with the construction and development of infrastructure in Tibet, the environmental environment has also continuously improved and the people of different ethnic groups have become more prosperous.

When Tibet was liberated, there were no highways in Tibet. Now all the villages in Tibet are connected by highways and the total length of the route has reached about 120,000 kilometers. In addition to the Qinghai-Tibet, Lhasa-Xigaze, Lhasa-Nyingchi railway operations, Tibet now has air links with 66 cities from 140 domestic and international flights.
