14 UML MPs in Parliament Secretariat, demand to stop the action taken against them

CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and 14 other MPs have filed letter in the Parliament Secretariat on Wednesday demanding to stop the action taken against them.

In a joint letter to Dr. Bharat Raj Gautam, General Secretary of the Parliament Secretariat, the MPs demanded that the action taken against them to stopped. 14 MPs have insisted that they have not violated the party’s whip.

UML has accused the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the leader of the Party’s parliamentary party, of violating the whip by absenting from the House of Representatives on Baishakh 27, 2078.

A meeting of the party’s parliamentary party has decided to remove KP Sharma Oli, the party’s prime minister, on Baishakh 27, citing his absence from the vote of confidence. Among those who have been sacked are senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, BirodhKhatiwada, Ram KumariJhakri and MukundaNeupane.
