Upendra Yadav elected as leader of Janata Samajwadi Party

Upendra Yadav has been elected as the leader of the parliamentary party of Janata Samajwadi Party.

According to the election committee formed by the party under the convener Nawaraj Subedi,
Yadav, who is also for former deputy prime minister, was unanimously elected the party leader. Dr.
Baburam Bhattarai was the supporter and Mahendra Rai Yadav was the proponent of the proposal
to elect Yadav as the leader of the parliamentary party. Twenty members of the House of
Representatives and two members of the National Assembly were present at the meeting of the
parliamentary party held yesterday.

The Election Commission has given authority to the Janata Samajwadi Party led by Yadav. A meeting
of the Janata Samajwadi Party parliamentary party was held after the commission gave its
authorization.
