President of Nepal Bidhya Devi Bhandari has inaugurated the SindhuliGadhi War Museum. President Bhandari inaugurated the war museum after reaching SindhuliGadhi by helicopter on Wednesday morning, Nepal Samaj Online reported.
The Nepal Army has constructed a war museum building with an investment of around Rs 7 crore. The SindhuliGadhi War Museum building was constructed by New Dragon/SindhuliGadhi JV Koteshwar. Tge building was designed by Architectural Development. The work of interior decoration has been done by Alternative Infrastructure Pvt.Dhulikhel.
The museum features wartime characters, SindhuliGadhi war events, war scenes in the eyes of soldiers, SindhuliGadhi war documentaries, phased war pictures, home weapons used in the war, wartime weapons, cannons used by the British, Nepali warriors, British warriors, Nepali warrior art, Mithila art, Pillars, wartime inscriptions, historical documents and a library of history are named after the British.
The foundation stone of the SindhuliGadhi War Museum was laid by former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence IshwarPokharel on Asoj 24, 2073. According to sources, the Gorkhaarmy led by BansuGurung defeated the British army equipped with modern weapons led by Captain Kinlock of theEast India Company to capture Kathmandu in the battle of SindhuliGadhi during the unification of Nepal in 1824 BS.
