Convention convened for 4 p.m. according to the Supreme Command

The session of the Federal Parliament is starting from today as per the order of the Supreme Court. On the recommendation of the government, President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has convened a convention at the Parliament House in New Baneshwor for 4 pm today.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will take a vote of confidence from the convention, which is about to begin with the various political developments in the country.

The Federal Parliament (House of Representatives and National Assembly) which was adjourned on Asar 18 last year, has been jointly convened after on year.

In the meantime, the Supreme Court has twice dissolved the House of Representatives, calling the dissolution unconstitutional.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, all preparations have been completed for the conduct of the convention, which is about to begin at a time when there is still a risk of Covid-19 infection.
