The 10-points agreement will be taken to the party’s standing committee

The 10-points agreement reached between the establishment party and Nepal party will be taken to the party’s standing committee to resolve the dispute in the CPN-UML.

Subash Chandra Nemwang, a coordinator of the task force, informed that the agreement reached by the meeting of the task force for party unity is being prepared to be presented at today’s meeting of the standing committee. According to Nemwang, coordinator of the task force, a 10-points agreement document has been prepared after serious consultations with the party chairman and prime minister KP Sharma Oli and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal. Nemwang says that they would move forward on the basis of the party’s wider interests. According to Nemwang, the issue under consideration in the court will not have any impact and the party will move forward unanimously as per the institutional decision.

Gokarna Bista, a member of the task force, said that the party would now run according to the prevailing method and process as an agreement was reached in consultation with senior leaders Jhala Nath Khanal and Madhav Kumar Nepal. Leader Bista said that a meeting between Chairman Oli and senior leader Nepal could be held today before the standing committee meeting. He also urged the party ranks to support the consensus reached after the big workout.
