Election Commission forms bench to resolve of Janata Samajwadi Party

The Election Commission has constituted a bench by the Election Commission to resolve the dispute of Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal. A meeting of the commission officials has formed a five-member bench headed by Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya.

The spokesperson of the commission, Raj Kumar Shrestha, informed that the commission has decided to call both the parties for a hearing on Sunday, Shrawan 3.

According to the Political Parties Act, an attempt was made to reach an agreement by calling both parties on Tuesday, but after no agreement was reached, a bench was constituted for the hearing, said spokesperson Shrestha.

The Upendra Yadav faction of the Janata Samajwadi Party has filed a petition in the commission demanding to resolve the party’s official dispute as per the Political Parties Act.
