The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has identified 12 places for the second dose of Vero cell vaccine. The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has fixed 12 places for senior citizens in the age group of 60 to 64 years who have been given first dose of the vaccine against corona since last Jestha 25 to get the second dose from today till the 24th of this month.
Vaccination centres include Bir Hospital, Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Civil Servants Hospital, Shukraraj Tropical and Communicable Diseases Hospital, Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital, Nepal Police Hospital, Birendra Sainik Hospital, Shankarpur Hospital, Himal Hospital, Om Hospital and Research Center, Kshetrapati Free Hospital and Janamaitri Hospital Balaju.
According to Hari Bahadur Kunwar, chief of the urban health department of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, the senior citizens who have received the first dose will have to go to the hospital where they can get vaccinated. For that, the first dose of vaccine card must be brought. At the time of the first dose, Kathmandu Metropolitan City had conducted the program from 32 vaccination centers. Only one age group was vaccinated each day ti reduce congestion.
Earlier, the health department had issued a public notice urging people to go to the nearest center for vaccination on Jesth 26 for 63 years, Jesth 28 for 61 years and Jesth 29 for 60 years.
Similarly, as per the decision of the Ministry of Health and Population on 22nd Baishakh and District Disaster Management Center on 25th Baishakh, the second dose of Chinese vaccine against Covid-19 was administered in Kathmandu district from 2nd Jesth including Kathmandu Metropolitan City. About one lakh people were vaccinated by setting up enters at the ward level till Jesth 11. Similarly, other local levels have also set up 19 vaccination centers for Kathmandu district from tomorrow.
