Doctors and staff of Malu Covid Hospital in Tamakoshi Rural Municipality Ward No. 4 of Dolakha were attacked on Saturday night. Hom Bahadur Shrestha spokesperson of Warn No. 4, Tamakoshi, informed that some local youths entered the hospital after consuming alcohol at around 12 pm and assaulted Dr. Robis Karki and office assistant Top Bahadur Mijar working at Covid Hospital. Doctor and staff of the hospital were attacked at night after drinking alcohol at a hotel near the hospital without any reason.
According to Rural Municipality Chairman Ishwor Chandra Pokharel, the local youthd entered the hospital premises after consuming alcohol at Malu Covid Hospital at 12 pm and pressured them to treat other patients as well.
According to Dr. Karki, the doctors and staffs flied after a group of four people entered the hospital at night and started attacking them. Police have arrested three persons for assaulting a doctor.
Police have arrested Gopal Timilsina, Roshan Pokharel and Biju Nepali of Malu in Tamakoshi. The incident is being investigated and action will be taken as per the law, said Dolakha Police Chief Besraj Rijal. By Muna Chand
