All the seven state governments have presented the budget for the coming fiscal year before the state assembly.
Province 1 and Gandaki have reduced this year’s budget to the size of last year’s budget. Due to the Covid epidemic, the internal resources have not increased as much as expected, and the size of the budget has been reduced due to the reduction in revenue sharing and grants received from the Government of Nepal.
Some states have brought new budgets in the current fiscal year. The budget represented by the state government is mainly focused on control of corona epidemic, modernization of agriculture, job creation and economic recovery.
Road infrastructure, establishment of industries, employment growth, social development towards women and children, single women, senior citizens, targeted programs have been given priority in the budget. By Muna Chand
