Floods and landslides in Melamchi have damaged parts of Sindhupalchok.
The floods that came on Tuesday evening have disrupted electricity and drinking water in some places in the district. According to the place, the landslide took place at Nakote in Helambu-1, 9km above the Melamchi drinking water source.
Some houses in Timbu Bazaar of Helambu have been flooded. Police estimate more than a dozen are missing. According to the police, it has been difficult to assess and rescue the victims.
Melamchi market in also at risk of floods.
