Far-Western Chief Minister Trilochan Bhatta is scheduled to take a vote of confidence in the state assembly today.
According to a letter of confidence registered in the Provincial Assembly Secretariat yesterday, the government tried to get a vote of confidence yesterday but moved it to today after the Nepali Congress protested.
In the Far West, with the support of the CPN(UML) and the Maoist-led state government, the Nepali UML Standing Committee meeting withdrew its support to the Chief Minister.
Meanwhile, in the second meeting of the state assembly held yesterday, the discussion on the previous budget for the fiscal year 2078/079 has started.
Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Prakash Bahadur Shah informed that the budget has been prepared to address the multifaceted impact of COVID-19.
