Gangtok, June 4: The number of deaths due to corona infection in Sikkim has not decreased. A total of 353 a new infection and three deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours, according to a report released by the Department of Health. The death toll of the state has risen to 266.
A total of 3,986 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, according to the Department of Health’s daily status report on Covid-19, of which 353 reported positive.
Of the new positive cases, 177 were from the eastern district, 104 from western district, 65 from the southern district and 07 from the northern district. At the same time, the total number of corona infections in the state has reached 16,598. There are currently 4,250 active cases of corona infection in the state. Similarly, the number of people recovering from corona infection in the state has reached 11766.
