Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expanded the cabinet. Earlier, Oli had appointed the vacant ministerial post on Friday.
Accordingly, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has been given the responsibility of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy while Prabhu Shah has been given the responsibility of Labor Minister. Similarly, Mani Thapa has been given responsibility in culture, tourism and civil aviation, Dawa Lama in education and Gauri Shankar Chaudhary in drinking water.
Sah, Thapa and Rayamajhi belong to the former Maoist group. They left Prachanda during the NCP split and joined the Oli group.
The newly appointed ministers will be sworn in at 7 pm today. After the swearing in, the newly appointed ministers will participate in the cabinet meeting. The meeting is scheduled for 8 p.m.
