In a bid to fill almost four dozen vacant constitutional positions, the meeting of the Constitutional Council convened by Prime Minister Khadga Oli for today has been postponed until further notice owing to the absence of Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba from the main opposition party.
According to the Constitutional Council Act, at least five of the six members of the council must be present for the meeting. The law requires mandatory attendance of main opposition leader in Constitutional Council meeting.
