The whole country is being affected by some news released recently. Some of the news is about Lipulake and Kalapani, Indo-Pacific strategy, and appointment of speaker of house of parliament. There are also discussions within the party for the future leadership. Various arguments and ideas are being published.

The government has called for the assembly of parliament in a hurried way and this parliament will elect a new Speaker. Various groups are under discussion within the parties. Different names are coming out. Even though the two Communist parties were united, the voices of dissatisfaction are coming out. The leaders of the former CPN-Maoist center are claiming for the Speaker. The name of Agni Sapkota and Dev Gurung are in public and Former Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar has already been publicly expressed her opinion not to become speaker again. Another Group of former CPN-UML are demanding that former speaker Subash Chandra Nemang should be made. The reason why there is growing interest in this matter is that the MCC project has already been submitted to Parliament for approval.

On the one hand Nepal has accepted the Belt and Road initiative and on the other hand Prime Minister has told to accept the MCC project publically. There are also fears in people that if the MCC project is accepted by parliament Nepal will be distorted into a battleground for the western countries. That’s why; the issue of the selection of the speaker has become a matter of prestige. The government should think seriously in this matter. Common Nepalese wants those kinds of plans and activities that will not interfere the nation’s stability, peace and sovereignty. By addressing this wish, the government should choose the right candidate and only then the parliament can address the issues that address the needs of the people and the country.

Apart from this people are complaining that there is no good governance in Nepal, Corruption has spread from top to bottom even institutionalized and the government is only addressing it in a promotional way. There has never been any action against corruption on the top leaders. It has even raised the suspicion that either this system protects corruption. It is said that Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority has been taken steps to solve the problem but junior level employees till now. It’s fatal to the government which is increasing the aggression of the people against government.

Strong party with two-thirds majority is ruling. There are two big parties got united and other small parties also processing for unity. In this context why should we need employees unions and other unions? This question is also being raised. Before, rulers were different, existed feudal system, to break down that system we made unions. But now, there is not necessary to change the system. Is not this government is able to protect the right and benefit of the the employees? If government can’t protect the employee’s rights, how can it protect the rights of the people? Such a system in which employees are needed to make union and do protest for their rights, what about common people? How can we convince the general public and the international community that this government is in favor of the people? How can it do good governance and can work as per the needs of the country? The government should pay attention to that. If this government is for the country and the people, employees’ unions and various representative or wings organizations must be dismissed immediately.
