Plight of Susta: Certificate with Nepalis, land under the Indian grip

Nepali people in Susta are facing the plight of Indian encroachment for last four decades. Indians have developed human settlement in the encroached land. Furthermore, the Indian Seema Surakchya Bal has not allowed cultivating on a large portion of land claiming it a disputed area.

Total area of Susta is 40 thousand 980 hectare. Presently, Nepalis are able to use only seven thousand hectare land. Indians have encroached and developed human settlement in 14 thousand hectare land. 19 thousand hectare land is kept without use after the Indians claim it as disputed area.

Nepalis are holding land ownership certificate but they are unable to use their own land.
