King Birendra’s residence to be opened for public

After 11 years of transforming the Narayanhitty Royal Palace into a museum, it is going to become the Development Committee by opening Republic Monument and Sri Sadan, late King Birendra’s residence, and other structures, inside the Palace for public, reports Nepal Samacharpatra daily.

The Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation has already started the process to appoint chief executive officer for the Committee.

The recent Cabinet meeting had decided to develop the Royal Palace museum as the Narayanhitty Museum Development Committee.
