Police have issued an arrest warrant against Parliamenterian Parbat Gurung on the charge of assaulting Birdhwaj Khadka, a local resident of Dolakha, during the local body elections held in 2017. Gurung is an MP at the Federal Parliament representing the ruling Nepal Communist Party.
Police issued the arrest warrant against Gurung following the ruling of the Kathmandu District Court. Earlier, Khadka had lodged a complaint at the police accusing Gurung of assaulting him in Kathmandu, according District Police Office, Kathmandu.
