Kathmandu, 13 October: Nepal Communist Party co-chairman Pushpakamal Dahal led NCP Secretariat members jointly called on Chinese President Xi Jinping at Hotel Soaltee this morning.
During the meeting, Prachanda has assured to President Xi for not allowing any kind of anti-China activities in the Nepali soil.
According to sources, Prachanda said that Nepal is always in favour of China and thus Nepal will not allow any kind of anti-Chinese activities in Nepali soil.
Prachanda said that China should never feel security threat due to Nepal’s act.
The meeting was for 20 minutes.
Chinese President Xi recalled his meeting with Dahal.
He advised the Nepali leaders to rule the country by winning hearts of the people, which will ensure the country’s development.
Xi also recalled that after a great struggle, China has reached to the present position. Still, China wants to accelerate the development process rapidly.
However, we don’t want to develop our country alone, we want to see development of neughbouring countries such as Nepal also, Xi said.
Nepal herself has to develop and China is ready to cooperate, President Xi opined.
Senior leaders Jhalanath Khanal, Madhav Kumar Nepal, Bamdev Gautam, Narayankaji Shrestha, Ishwor Pokhrel, Rambahadur Thapa, general secretary Bishnu Poudel and Pradeep Gyawali were included in the NCP team led by Prachanda.
