Kathmandu, 13 October: Visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping has said that Nepal becomes a land-linked nation from a landlocked nation. In his address at the state banquet hosted in honour of him by President Bidya Devi Bhandari at the Soaltee Crowne Plaza Hotel in Kathmandu on Saturday evening, Chinese President Xi said that his country is ready to support Nepal in its path to prosperity.
President Xi said that Nepal has got political stability and social harmony, with the establishment of peace.
President Xi expressed commitment for opening more trade routes with China and supporting Nepal in construction and upgrading roads connecting China.
President Xi has also given gesture for conducting study in construction of railway linking Nepal and China.
The state banquet was also attended by Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, former prime ministers and Cabinet ministers among others.
