China’s first cloned police dog officially enrolled by police

China’s first cloned police dog has been officially enrolled onto the police team after passing the evaluations at Kunming Police Dog Base, reports the Xinhua News Agency.

Kunxun was born in Beijing in December 2008 and after 3 months she was taken to Kunming, Yunnan province to receive professional training.

The dog was cloned from a seven-year-old police dog that was famous for its combat capabilities.

The affinity of the two dogs has been confirmed by a third party organization, as tests show their DNA similarity reaches over 99.9 percent.
