The ruling Nepal Communist Party’s leader Bhim Rawal has strongly objected to various activities of the Government claiming they were hypocritical.
Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday, Rawal said some recent activities of the government contradicted its stated policies including commitments made in the recent budget plan, many news media have reported it in today’s edition.
He recalled that the government mentioned including patriotism and construction of a civilised society in academic curricula in the budget statement last week, but signed a partnership agreement with a controversial Christian university from South Korea around the same time.
Rawal has also lambasted Government’s statement about promoting national security and sovereignty contradicted the practice of allowing international joint military exercises in its land, according to him.
Rawal also criticised the Government for failing to stop United States Ambassador Randy Berry’s controversial social media interaction. Ambassador Berry has made public the videos of his interaction in the social networking platforms of the US embassy and his personal accounts as well.
