Nepal becoming safe shelter for illegal refugees

Kathmandu, 11 May: Owing to the very liberal visa policy of Nepal and taking advantage of open border with India, Nepal is gradually growing as a safe shelter for illegal refugees.

According to Naya Patrika daily, the entire world is cognizant of the fact that Nepal has been bearing the burden of Bhutanese and Tibetan refugees since long and now refugees from Myanmar and many African nations have taken refuge adding woo to her non-conventional approach and brotherly attitude to humankind.

More than one thousand refugees from more than ten countries have gathered in Nepal making her a refugee center, reports the paper. In absence of law relating to refugees, it is hard for Nepal to tackle this new problem. These refugees have come from the countries of conflict and could be easily lured to participate in the anti-social activities by the terrorist groups.
