Two people are dead following a massive fire that engulfed a residential building in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province on Saturday, May 4, 2019, said the provincial fire rescue team.
The fire broke out Saturday evening. At least 20 fire trucks and over 90 rescuers were sent to the scene.
The fire was extinguished after a one hour fire-fighting operation. Two residents were later found dead. More than 30 rooms in the building were damaged in the blaze.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
